Reverse Engineering Abundance

Reverse Engineering Abundance

One of the abundance meditations that I teach in my Hypnotic Visualization Series takes you forward in time to see a future version of yourself feeling very abundant and happy. We then begin moving slowly backward in time again - following in reverse the "pathway" your future self took to an abundant new life.

In some industries, this process would be described as "reverse engineering". In other words, looking at a finished product, then picking it apart to see how it was put together to work the way it does.

Believe it or not, your subconscious mind is a master at reverse engineering! It is excellent at coming up with solutions to existing problems, or even devising brilliant new strategies from scratch. The tricky part is providing the right prompt to get the gears turning – and then getting out of the way to let it do its work!

Instead, most of us do the opposite. We notice a problem and focus obsessively on it, which only strengthens its existence in our reality. We try to engage our logical thought processes to solve the problem, but we never let go and allow our subconscious mind to take over.

As a result, we remain stuck with the problem until we relax enough to allow a solution. Sometimes this only happens once we give up completely – we finally ease our resistance enough that the universe can squeeze through a workable solution.

An Easier Way to Solve Problems and Create Ideas

Today we're going to explore a much easier method for solving problems, and it can also be used to conceive brilliant new creative ideas.

The first crucial point to understand is that when you were a small child, your subconscious mind was like a sponge, soaking up everything it perceived as "real". Based on the information your subconscious mind absorbed back then, you formed a perception about the world around you, with solid "truths" about the way things worked.

This includes your beliefs about money and abundance.

Now that you are an adult, your subconscious mind is a lot more discriminating about the information it absorbs – and it will initially reject anything that conflicts with your existing beliefs (it is possible to overcome this block and change your beliefs, it's just not instant or easy).

One of the greatest benefits of your subconscious mind is that it abhors puzzles! It needs to make order out of chaos. If you can imprint a question or a problem onto your subconscious mind with the intention to come up with a solution, it will immediately start working to find that solution.

One of the simplest ways to do this is to write out your problem in the form of an intention.

Example: "I intend to increase my monthly income by $1000 so I can more easily pay my mortgage and give a little extra money to my parents each month."

After writing out your intention, focus on it for a few minutes. Affirm how helpful that extra money would be each month. Focus enthusiastically on how different your life would be if you had that extra money coming in month after month.

As you focus on this, you should start to feel your body relaxing and positive feelings flowing through you. Now your subconscious mind should be receptive enough to accept a prompt.

Close your eyes and say with conviction: "I am so glad that I found a way to allow $1000 more into my life each month, and it was so easy!" Say it several times, if you like. Say it again before you go to sleep each night, and when you wake up each morning.

Then, put it completely out of your mind! Don't think about the problem (the lack of $1000 per month); don't think about financial problems in any form; and do your best not to focus on any expressions of scarcity. This is important because you have given your subconscious mind a task to do, and if you clutter it up by activating old, limiting, negative messages, it's going to be busy re-playing those. Instead, keep your conscious mind busy with mundane tasks and avoid dwelling on abundance as much as possible.

Also be sure to allow yourself some "downtime" for the next few days, even if it's just several minutes at a time. Sit in a quiet location and allow your mind to drift, or close your eyes and meditate for a few minutes each morning and evening.

When your brilliant idea shows up, it is most likely to do so during a quiet moment, like when you are resting, meditating, showering or doing a mundane chore like washing dishes or driving. During activities like these your conscious mind is calm so your subconscious mind can more easily get your attention.

This process gets your subconscious mind busy "reverse engineering" abundance – you take an outcome you want to receive, tell your subconscious mind that you easily accomplished it, and it responds by coming up with one or more ways to do just that.

In some circles, they also call this receiving an inspired action from the universe. Whatever you wish to call it, it works!
