The Wall Street Psychic Who Predicted the Economic Meltdown

*The Wall Street Psychic Who Predicted the Economic Meltdown *

This woman knows nothing about finance yet claims she can predict turmoil
in the markets months before it happens. Don't believe her? Many blue-chip companies do – and pay handsomely for her 'intuition'.

*By Helena de Bertodano / Source: **The Telegraph <http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/3400109/Meet-Laura-Day-The-financial-psychic-of-Wall-Street-who-predicted-global-meltdown.html>*

A few blocks from Wall Street lives a woman who is not in the least bit
surprised at the recent economic upheaval on her doorstep. In fact, she
predicted it years ago and is rather enjoying it.

'I love crisis,' says Laura Day, a psychic who advises major corporations on how to direct their business dealings. 'I love turning it around. I'm going to brag – in the last few weeks I've become a hero. My clients were all prepared for this. They were out of the market a year ago and now they're ringing me saying, "The whole world is freaking out and I'm just sitting here calm."'

The 49-year-old mother has earned more than $10 million in the past 15 years
advising corporations and individuals including Demi Moore, Jennifer Aniston
and Rosanna Arquette. Day's otherwordly expertise doesn't simply encompass the financial; Arquette credits her with saving her daughter's life by sensing a potentially fatal medical condition.

While there is nothing very surprising about the Hollywood A-list embracing
the help of a psychic, it is harder to imagine mainstream businesses
enlisting her services. She takes on five businesses at a time, each of which pays her $10,000 a month for 24-hour access to her. She will not name her clients, although some have gone on the record extolling her work.
Gabriel Lawson, the executive director of the American technology giant Seagate, hired her two years ago as a consultant and told Newsweek, 'She was amazing. Anybody who can afford her will get 100 times their money's worth.'

'In early July, right before the oil market dived, I said, "I wouldn't be buying oil futures now," and I predicted China's current troubles eight months ago,' Day says. Thanks to those and many other good calls, a prospective client can be on Day's waiting-list for years.

Not that she swans into board meetings wearing a gypsy dress and bejewelled
headscarf. Quite the opposite. 'When I visit a company I make an effort to learn what their rules are,' she says. 'I don't want to look like a freak so I go in wearing a blue suit, I take my notes and I only say something when I know it will sound appropriate. If the CEO hires me, I go in as a consultant. Most of the time the rest of the company doesn't have a single
idea of what I really do.'

So what does she really do? 'What I do actually works best if I know nothing, so I don't look at the market,' Day says. 'I'm a complete information desert. I just get a sense of the right thing to do. I'll say,

"I understand that you're buying everything in China, but gosh I would hold
off," and then they figure out why. Or a medical research client will come and say, "We're having trouble with the poly-whatever morph unit." My intuition will target exactly what their issue is and I'll say, "The seamed area needs something else to stick it together," and they will know they need a different polymer. Or whatever. I let the words come out of my mouth even though I may have no idea what I am talking about; my client will know what to do.'

Does she believe she is channelling spirits? 'I do not have an "in" with spirits,' Day offers. 'That's a scary concept. I don't want to be Guru Maharaja Day.' Indeed, she prefers to be known as an intuitive.

'I hate the word psychic,' she says, through gritted teeth as she settles into her sofa and tucks her feet underneath her. 'Because it means tea leaves and crystal balls and a six-floor walk up to a place that smells like cat's piss.'

Day does indeed live on the sixth floor, but there is a lift up to her flat. And she does have a cat, as well as white pigeons and fish, but her flat smells of freshly brewed coffee. No tea leaves either. 'I do not do tea, particularly not for English people because they're always so snotty and critical of the way I make it.' The flat is eccentrically furnished, but the nearest thing to a crystal ball is the disco mirror-ball hanging in the room where her 16-year-old son, Samson, plays his drums. She lives with Samson and her long-term boyfriend, Adam Robinson, and says the flat is divided into 'girl zone' and 'boy zone'. We are in the girl zone, which incorporates the sitting-room with its brightly coloured armchairs, countless plants, coloured-glass candle-holders and, bizarrely, a table of rubber ducks.

Leading off the sitting-room is her bedroom with a bed covered in a lime-green bedspread and dotted with stuffed animals. Her bathroom, which has no door, is so crammed with lotions and bags and clothes that you can no longer see the walls. It seems safe to say that her style is anti-minimalist.

Hanging in the sitting-room, opposite the black and white photos of Demi Moore embracing Day, is a card that reads, 'Laura, because of you I see the
world anew. I celebrate the day you were born. Much love, Jennifer.' I imagine this is from Jennifer Aniston, who, along with Moore, threw a surprise party for Day last year. 'They tricked me and told me they needed me and I should come out to LA. Jennifer had my hair done, Demi had my
make-up done. It was a group effort just to get me to a party where I had to be the centre of attention.'

Usually she prefers to be in the background. 'I'm an introvert,' she says,
'and a neurotic worrier.' Blonde and pretty, Day is easy company, although
prone to off-kilter statements: 'Is it hot in here or is it just my perimen opause?' she asks at one point.

She wears little make-up and no nail varnish, which is unusual in New York.
'I don't like to put on lipstick and a bra that makes your boobs look like they don't hang to your waist.'

Day believes that her troubled childhood, growing up in New York, helped her develop her psychic abilities. 'I had a suicidal mother and I needed to learn to call the police in time to save her.' When Day was 12 years old her mother fell into a coma from which she was not expected to recover. Day 'knew' she would survive. 'I could see exactly what was going on in her body.'
Nevertheless, three years later, her mother finally succeeded in killing herself.
Her career as a psychic began in her early thirties, shortly after her marriage ended ('I knew when I was walking down the aisle that I would get a divorce') and she found herself in straitened circumstances. She had been casually advising a friend, a hedge-fund manager, on stock investments and asked if he would mind paying for her tips. He obliged and a career was born.

Now she gives seminars on how to use the sixth sense and has written five books teaching people how to harness their own 'practical intuition'.

'Anyone can do what I do,' she says. 'It is an idiot's gift.'

Day knows that some people scoff at what she does, but doesn't care.
'The nice thing about growing up in a household where the police come and
knock down doors to take your mother to hospital is that you really don't worry about what other people think.'

She comes from three generations of doctors, and her father, David Globus,
has little truck with his daughter's line of work. Does she ever discuss her abilities with him? 'Are you kidding? My father just got convinced vitamins are useful.' Nevertheless, he has been known to ring her for help. 'He'll call me up at seven in the morning and say, "Where are my damned keys?" I'll say, "They're in the maid's bathroom in your grey jacket." We don't talk about how I know it; it would disturb him too much. It's the same with my son. He'll ask me things that don't register as weird, like, "I lost my backpack at school, can you tell me where it is?"'

It must be very alarming to see what is happening in her own future. Does she foresee health problems or know how long she will live? 'I get a sense of that, but everybody does. I repress less than most people, but the truth is you never read well in your areas of neurotic preoccupation. When you're reading for yourself, your wishes and fears get in the way. I find when my intuition needs to tell me something it wakes me up from a dead sleep.'

Sometimes, she says, she finds her intuition predicting something that she
does not want to hear about. 'When that happens I just put my hands over my
ears and go, "No, no, no, no."'

Day tells me that she can see into a person, even someone she has never met
before. 'I know them before they walk in the door.' Somewhat nervously, I ask her what she intuits about me. 'I don't do it in interviews. If you come over another time and give me a glass of wine – because I'm a cheap drunk – you won't be able to get away from me doing it.'

I ask her if she had anticipated that the current financial crisis would be as big as this. 'I thought it would be bigger, actually, and I think it's not over yet. These symptoms were cooking for years. I could feel this six years ago.' She thinks it will be decades before the market truly recovers.

'I wouldn't expect to sell my apartment for the same price I could have sold it for a year ago – not until my grandchildren sell it.'

She says that she never underestimates the 'weirdness' of her profession.

When I suggest to her that it has gained in credibility over the past 20 years, she shoots back. 'Well, so has S&M, but people still don't talk about it.'

But what makes Day so much more engaging and less odd than one might think is that she happily admits her fallibility. 'I screw up all the time. My
intuition is rarely wrong, but sometimes I interpret it wrong. Recently, a dear friend lost her job and was in a panic. I told her I saw her getting her job back [the following] Tuesday. She didn't get her job back, but her mother died on Tuesday and left her a lot of money. What I had been looking at was not her job, but whether she was going to have money to pay her
bills. So I screwed up.'

A Little Act of Kindness

A Little Act of Kindness

Richard, my husband, never really talked a lot about his time in Viet Nam, other than he had been shot by a sniper. However, he had a rather grainy, 8 x 10 black and white photo he had taken at a USO show of Ann Margret with Bob Hope in the background that was one of his treasures.

A few years ago, Ann Margret was doing a book signing at a local bookstore. Richard wanted to see if he could get her to sign the treasured photo so he arrived at the bookstore at 12 o'clock for the 7:30 signing.

When I got there after work, the line went all the way around the bookstore, circled the parking lot, and disappeared behind a parking garage. Before her appearance, bookstore employees announced that she would sign only her book and no memorabilia would be permitted.

Richard was disappointed, but wanted to show her the photo and let her know how much those shows meant to lonely GI's so far from home. Ann Margret came out looking as beautiful as ever and, as second in line, it was soon Richard's turn.

He presented the book for her signature and then took out the photo.
When he did, there were many shouts from the employees that she would
not sign it. Richard said, "I understand. I just wanted her to see it."

She took one look at the photo, tears welled up in her eyes and she said, "This is one of my gentlemen from Viet Nam and I most certainly will sign his photo. I know what these men did for their country and I always have time for 'my gentlemen."

With that, she pulled Richard across the table and planted a big kiss on him. She then made quite a to-do about the bravery of the young men she met over the years, how much she admired them, and how much she appreciated them. There weren't too many dry eyes among those close enough to hear. She then posed for pictures and acted as if he were the only one there.

Later at dinner, Richard was very quiet. When I asked if he'd like to talk about it, my big, strong husband broke down in tears... "That's the first time anyone ever thanked me for my time in the Army." he said.

That night was a turning point for him. He walked a little straighter and, for the first time in years, was proud to have been a Vet. I'll never forget Ann Margret for her graciousness and how much that small act of kindness meant to my husband.

I now make it a point to say 'Thank you' to every person I come across who served in our Armed Forces. Freedom does not come cheap and I am grateful for all those who have served their country.

Note: I have searched to find out if this story is true, and every indication, including a response from Ann Margret's representatives state that yes, this is a true story. Unfortunately I cannot confirm
with certainty who the author is.

Looking For Recognition???

The Pig And The Horse

There was a farmer who collected horses; he only needed one more breed to complete his collection. One day, he found out that his neighbor had the particular horse breed he needed. So, he constantly bothered his neighbor until he sold it to him. A month later, the horse became ill
and he called the veterinarian, who said:

- Well, your horse has a virus. He must take this medicine for three days. I'll come back on the 3rd day and if he's not better, we're going to have to put him down.

Nearby, the pig listened closely to their conversation.

The next day, they gave him the medicine and left. The pig approached the horse and said:

- Be strong, my friend. Get up or else they're going to put you to sleep!

On the second day, they gave him the medicine and left. The pig came back and said:

- Come on buddy, get up or else you're going to die! Come on, I'll help you get up. Let's go! One, two, three...

On the third day, they came to give him the medicine and the vet said:

- Unfortunately, we're going to have to put him down tomorrow.
Otherwise, the virus might spread and infect the other horses.

After they left, the pig approached the horse and said:

- Listen pal, it's now or never! Get up, come on! Have courage! Come on!
Get up! Get up! That's it, slowly! Great! Come on, one, two, three...
Good, good. Now faster, come on.... Fantastic! Run, run more! Yes! Yay!
Yes! You did it, you're a champion!!!

All of a sudden, the owner came back, saw the horse running in the field
and began shouting:

- It's a miracle! My horse is cured. This deserves a party. Let's kill the pig!

Points for reflection: this often happens in the workplace. Nobody truly knows which employee actually deserves the merit of success, or who's actually contributing the necessary support to make things happen.

The World is Your Mental Creation

*The World is Your Mental Creation*

*By Burt Goldman, *

The principle of Mentalism -- which says the universe is a mental creation of God -- is perhaps one of the most inexplicable and mysterious of any principle as it involves the unknowable.

God, or as the followers of the teachings of Hermes say the All, is absolute and beyond understanding; all we can do is guess; and the guesses I can safely say will all be wrong. God is infinite and eternal; meaning God had no beginning but has always been, and will have no ending but will always be.

That alone is beyond comprehension. How can anything have no beginning? That my friends is the divine paradox. But allow me to address the fact that God
is infinite. Being infinite he is in and of everything. I use the term loosely as God would have to be genderless and perfect. You can neither diminish nor add anything to him.

The universe is a mental creation. That goes along with the infinite nature
of God. Allow me to use a metaphor as that is the only way to get even close
to a comprehension of what I am attempting to say.

You can create a being, or an event in your mind. Every play, every book, every motion picture is a created fantasy, not real, but created by the mind of a person. An infinite being creates infinitely. In other words, all that is, all that was, and all that will be has been created in the mind of God.
That is infinity.

I touch on this in Quantum Jumping because if the universe is infinite everything imaginable, and much more
that is unimaginable has already been created. Every being, every animal and
vegetable, every grain of sand, every molecule and every time period, past
present and future is already there in an infinite universe.

If that is difficult to understand how about eternity? Many faiths believe
that after death they will awaken in heaven, paradise, glory. That would be
nice for ten years or so of perfect living in a perfect world. But how would you feel doing the same thing for a hundred years, or a thousand, or ten thousand. And after ten thousand years of paradise with the perfect woman, or man, or place to reside you can look forward to another ten thousand.

Wow. Twenty thousand years of doing the same thing. How about a hundred
thousand years, a million, a hundred million years of paradise with the same
person, the same perfect events. And after a hundred million years, even
though you may be a bit tired of all that perfection you can look forward to a hundred million more, and then another and another. After all this is eternity.

Logically, something here is amiss. But God didn't create us to suffer or to
prosper. He didn't create us to be bad, or good. He created all types and then gave us free will and created the law of causality, commonly called cause and effect. What they do with that resolve is up to the individual.
When a writer writes a play he directs the characters and is the puppeteer;
a writer is the obvious cause. But what if the writer had the ability to create the cast of the play, and the setting, and then allowed the characters to go their own way, to do their own thing, to allow the
characters to create cause themselves. Might be an interesting play, but the
writer would have to be an infinite being to do that so we can only guess at what the outcome would be.

As I only have a brief time to get this point across I can only hope to stimulate your mind and get you to using more of it, to think. God must be immutable. He cannot be changed, nor added to or subtracted from nor become greater or lesser in any respect. He must have always been and will always remain, what he has done in the creation of all these creatures of the universe is to experience. Now God does not need experience, he doesn't need anything. He is, all that is.

Why did God create the universe? We can never know that. We can only use the
concept of the universe being a mental creation of God in our own lives. We
are also mental creators. Every thing, every dress, shoe, tie, suit, car, pencil, house, building, everything was created by the mind of a human being. In that we are all imitators of the creator of all things.

Know that you too are a creator. Get to understand your mind a bit better and you will find the way. The universe is a mental creation of God. Your world is a mental creation of yourself. Many of you know that I've used this concept over and over again during the thirty and more years I've been teaching personal development. Your world is a mental creation.

Where do you find yourself, where are you at present? You may not realize
it, it may seem that forces beyond your control put you there, but the fact is, you did it. You did it with your attitude, your beliefs, your actions and your mental creations. You too are a creator, a mental creator. The great principle of Mentalism states, the universe is a mental creation of God. You are part of that creation, but you have free will. You have the ability to change, to progress, to grow, to evolve. To be a better person.
To be a better and better person.

My advice to you, should you be interested is to be the best you that you can be. But know that through the dynamic use of your mind you do have the ability to be a better person, a better you. How about starting now, right now. What can you do if you made up your mind to be a better person? I can't tell you that. But think about this, what would your life be like if you were a better person?

Only you can take the first step. Do something today, or if it is late in the afternoon or evening when you're reading or hearing this, do something
tomorrow that you will be proud of, something that will please you. I can't
tell you what that is, only you can. Sit quietly for a few moments, meditate
and call on your higher self, what would that self tell you to do to make you a better person, a person you will be proud of a person your ancestors will be proud of? And then, do it.

There is a road ahead of you with many forks in it. Each one involves a choice. Your reality is the result of the choices you made in the past. Your future life will be the result of the choices you make in the future.

Make good ones. Each choice is a cause for an upcoming effect. Good luck, and may God smile on you.

The Four Lovers

"The Four Lovers"

Once upon a time there was a Queen who had four lovers.

She loved the 4th lover the most and adorned him with rich robes and treated him to the finest of delicacies. She gave
him nothing but the Best.

She also loved the 3rd lover very much and was always showing him off to neighboring kingdoms. However, she feared that one day he would leave her for another.

She also loved her 2nd lover. He was her confidant and was always kind, considerate and patient with her. Whenever the Queen faced a problem, she could confide in him, and he
would help her get through the difficult times.

The Queen's 1st lover was a very loyal partner and had made great contributions in maintaining her wealth and kingdom. However, she did not love the first lover. Although he loved her deeply, she hardly took notice of him.

One day, the Queen fell ill and she knew her time was short. She thought of her luxurious life and wondered, I now have four lovers with me, but when I die, I'll be all alone.

Thus, she asked the 4th lover, "I loved you the most! , endowed you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?"

'No way!' replied the 4th lover, and he walked away without another word.

His answer cut like a sharp knife right into her heart.

The sad Queen then asked the 3rd lover, "I loved you all my life. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and
keep me company?"

'No!' replied the 3rd lover. 'Life is too good! When you die, I'm going to love someone else!'

Her heart sank and turned cold.

She then asked the 2nd lover, "I have always turned to you for help and you've always been there for me.
When I die, will you follow me and keep me company?"

'I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!' replied the 2nd lover. 'At the very most, I can only walk with you to your grave.'

His answer struck her like a bolt of lightning, and the Queen was devastated.

Then a voice called out: 'I'll go with you. I'll follow you no matter where you go.'

The Queen looked up, and there was her first lover.
He was very skinny as he suffered from malnutrition and neglect.

Greatly grieved, the Queen said, "I should have taken much better care of you when I had the chance!"

In truth, you have 4 lovers in your life:

Your 4th lover is your body. No matter how much time and effort you lavish in making it look good, it will leave you when you die?

Your 3rd lover is your possessions, status and wealth.
When you die, it will all go to others.

Your 2nd lover is your family and friends. No matter how much they have been there for you, the furthest they can stay by you is up to the Grave.

And your 1st lover is your Soul, often neglected in pursuit of wealth, power and pleasures of the world.

However, your Soul is the only thing that will follow you where ever you go. Cultivate, strengthen and cherish it now,
for it is the only part of you that will follow you to the throne of God and ! continue with you throughout Eternity.

Thought for the day:
Remember, when the world pushes you to your knees,
You're in the perfect position to pray.

Your Brain Will Be the Battlefield of the Future

* Your Brain Will Be the Battlefield of the Future, Warns U.S. Intelligence Report*

*The human brain could become a battlefield in future wars, a new report
predicts, including 'pharmacological land mines' and drones directed by mind
control*

*By Ian Sample / Source: **The Guardian<http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2008/aug/13/military.neuroscience>*

Rapid advances in neuroscience could have a dramatic impact on national
security and the way in which future wars are fought, US intelligence officials have been told.

In a report commissioned by the Defense Intelligence Agency, leading scientists were asked to examine how a greater understanding of the brain over the next 20 years is likely to drive the development of new medicines
and technologies.

They found several areas in which progress could have a profound impact,
including behaviour-altering drugs, scanners that can interpret a person's
state of mind and devices capable of boosting senses such as hearing and
vision.

On the battlefield, bullets may be replaced with "pharmacological land
mines" that release drugs to incapacitate soldiers on contact, while scanners and other electronic devices could be developed to identify suspects from their brain activity and even disrupt their ability to tell lies when questioned, the report says.

"The concept of torture could also be altered by products in this market. It
is possible that some day there could be a technique developed to extract
information from a prisoner that does not have any lasting side effects," the report states.

The report highlights one electronic technique, called transcranial direct
current stimulation, which involves using electrical pulses to interfere with the firing of neurons in the brain and has been shown to delay a person's ability to tell a lie.

Drugs could also be used to enhance the performance of military personnel.
There is already anecdotal evidence of troops using the narcolepsy drug
modafinil, and ritalin, which is prescribed for attention deficit disorder, to boost their performance. Future drugs, developed to boost the cognitive
faculties of people with dementia, are likely to be used in a similar way, the report adds.
Greater understanding of the brain's workings is also expected to usher in
new devices that link directly to the brain, either to allow operators to
control machinery with their minds, such as flying unmanned reconnaissance
drones, or to boost their natural senses.

For example, video from a person's glasses, or audio recorded from a
headset, could be processed by a computer to help search for relevant
information. "Experiments indicate that the advantages of these devices are
such that human operators will be greatly enhanced for things like photo
reconnaissance and so on," Kit Green, who chaired the report committee, said.

The report warns that while the US and other western nations might now
consider themselves at the forefront of neuroscience, that is likely to change as other countries ramp up their computing capabilities. Unless security services can monitor progress internationally, they risk "major, even catastrophic, intelligence failures in the years ahead", the report warns.

"In the intelligence community, there is an extremely small number of people
who understand the science and without that it's going to be impossible to
predict surprises. This is a black hole that needs to be filled with light,"
Green told the Guardian.

The technologies will one day have applications in counter-terrorism and
crime-fighting. The report says brain imaging will not improve sufficiently
in the next 20 years to read peoples' intentions from afar and spot criminals before they act, but it might be good enough to help identify people at a checkpoint or counter who are afraid or anxious.

"We're not going to be reading minds at a distance, but that doesn't mean we
can't detect gross changes in anxiety or fear, and then subsequently talk to
those individuals to see what's upsetting them," Green said.

The development of advanced surveillance techniques, such as cameras that can spot fearful expressions on people's faces, could lead to some inventive ways to fool them, the report adds, such as Botox injections to relax facial muscles.

Neuroscience vs. the Paranormal

*Neuroscience vs. the Paranormal*

*Can neuroscience explain our paranormal obsession? From UFOs to ghosts, our strong reaction to unexplained phenomena has a lot to do with our brains.*

*This article is an adapted excerpt from Steve Volk's new book, "Fringe-ology:
How I Tried to Explain Away the Unexplainable - and Couldn't"

We have been sitting in the dark for hours. I am on the outside of a circle
of a half-dozen strangers, reclining on the thick carpeting of a suburban home, watching the silhouette of a hulking man with a digital audio recorder.

We are waiting, and listening, for some proof of a ghostly presence in the room. And I, for one, am not optimistic. I've come here with Lou Gentile, a well-known figure within the murky realms of ghost hunting. And so far, we have found nothing to confirm what this family in central New Jersey has told us: they talk about strange rappings, jiggling doorknobs, and an occasional bang in the basement.

We have heard nothing of the kind. But more than that, we both think the vibe this family gives off is strange enough without the additive of spirits.

The family patriarch, whom I'll refer to here as "Paul," moves with the
disassociated air of a ghost himself. He is a quiet, intense divorcé who seems to rule over his girlfriend and son with his ominous silences. Like me, he has recently lost a parent -- in his case, his father. And while his family seems to maintain an appropriate skepticism, he clearly wants to believe.

Earlier, he showed Gentile a series of odd photos, including one that displayed what appeared to be a large, jagged light in his bedroom. He seemed happy when Gentile told him he wasn't sure what kind of camera defect might produce that anomaly. "It could be a defect," Gentile told him, "but I haven't seen one quite like this."

Paul also showed us a video he made in the basement, which was about as
interesting, aesthetically, as might be expected. The static image he captured was mostly darkness, with the outline of a weight bench in the middle ground and still more darkness fanning out behind it. Every few seconds, however, a ping echoed in the room. "The sound is probably distorted by the condenser microphone on your camera," Gentile told him. "But it's worth investigating."

Gentile sent me down to the basement at that point, to sit in the dark. And though I was suitably scared for a minute or so, it quickly became clear to me that the "mysterious noises" Paul drew our attention to were produced by nothing more spectral than the air conditioning ducts that cut back and forth across the ceiling.

I reported my findings to Gentile, who expected as much. "It doesn't mean
nothing is happening here," he told Paul. "But the sounds on the video are
just produced by your air conditioning unit."

Paul, sitting cross-legged on the floor, looked distraught. Gentile readied
his little digital recorder and asked Paul to turn off all the lights in the house. Hours passed. Gentile asked questions into the darkness, then played back the audio, listening for ghostly responses. Believers call this "electronic voice phenomenon." I considered it a kind of investigative dead end, a series of unintelligible, scratchy noises that could easily have been produced by the recorder itself -- the sounds occasionally coalescing by chance into a snatch that could be mistaken for a word or maybe even a phrase. On this night, Gentile didn't seem particularly impressed by the
results either. So to shake things up, he invited everyone in the circle to take turns asking questions.

When it was Paul's turn, he knelt down in front of the recorder and asked the only question of the dark that could be expected from a grieving son:
"Are you my father?"

Is it only wishful thinking?

For many people, and especially hardcore skeptics, all the paranormal ever amounts to is the wishful thinking of the grieving, the impossible fantasies of people with wild imaginations. But in my new book, *"Fringe-ology: How I Tried to Explain Away The Unexplainable -- And Couldn't,"

* I argue that the paranormal amounts to much, much more than that. To my mind, the paranormal reveals us, believers and unbelievers alike, and calls us toward a fuller more compassionate understanding of each other.

My own family passed a series of ghost stories on to me, stories they swore
to be true. And I have my own memories of the events they describe. I remember the banging noises, for instance, that sounded like something was trying to hack its way in through the roof. I remember my older brother throwing his hands on top of his head and staring up at the ceiling in dismay. I remember my sisters claiming that their bed covers had been jerked from them, violently, as if by invisible hands.

My mother and father once sat and told me about what they called "the ghost." I was in my mid-20s, recently graduated from college. I had instigated the conversation by telling them I wanted the definitive account.
The tale they told me was sensational, complete with a spellbinding ending
that seemed shocking to them all those years later.

"We didn't know what it was," my father told me recently. "We called it a ghost because we didn't know what else to call it."

It is my position that one thing human beings hold in common is that we tend
not to like uncertainty very much: That is how the unexplained events in my family home loom as an authentic ghost tale to some, while others see the story as evidence for how misperception and superstition fuel paranormal belief; this flight from the unexplained is also how an Unidentified Flying Object comes to be regarded as an alien spacecraft by believers while skeptics strain to paint it as military flares or a weather balloon.

In truth, of course, an unidentified flying object is just and only unidentified. But our need for strict definitions prevents many of us from seeing anything as unknown at all. And this race to eliminate mystery seems simply part of what it means to be human -- and perhaps neuroscientific in nature.

The Universe is Weirder Than You Can Imagine

One of the strangest books of recent times, *"The End of Science,"* was penned by John Horgan, a former senior writer and current blogger for
Scientific American, who in spite of so much evidence to the contrary argues
that there are no more scientific revolutions to be had. Of course, potential revolutions still abound: dark matter and dark energy are thought to make up roughly 95 percent of the universe, yet direct evidence of their existence eludes us.

Temple University recently produced a book that identifies 13 competing
theories of quantum mechanics and explores their implications for how we
understand the very nature of existence. Some highly esteemed scientists,
including Karl Pribram and quantum mechanics mastermind David Bohm, advanced the idea that the human mind and the entire universe are like a hologram -- a three-dimensional projection from some other, more fundamental reality.

If the universe doesn't seem quite weird enough for you yet, consider the matter of time, a particularly sticky wicket: To explore the subject, physicists Yakir Aharonov and Jeff Tollaksen devised an incredible experiment, in which the act of measuring a particle predictably changes the value of the same particle in -- get this -- an earlier measurement.
Numerous labs around the world have been successfully conducting and
replicating the experiment, which seems to indicate something awfully wild
about reality: an action taken in the future can affect what happens in the
present, at least at a subatomic level.

Aharonov and Tollaksen aren't sure exactly what to make of their own
experiment. But this is precisely the spot at which we can use a real, scientific mystery to understand something about ourselves and how we react to the paranormal. Most likely, you rebelled, internally, during this last paragraph.

The controversial results of this experiment -- the mysterious nature of
their findings -- may have bothered you so much that you simply dismissed it
as impossible. But without belaboring the nature of time, there is a part of your brain that probably sent you a tremulous message to watch out when I wrote something that seems so nonsensical. Maybe you furrowed your eyebrows,
your pulse quickened, you momentarily held your breath or even felt angry or
dismissive, as if what I had written must be false and I must be stupid or even craven to write it.

But here's the thing: that wasn't you, or at least not the rational, reasonable you. That was your brain talking -- most dramatically, your amygdala, a necessary but frustrating part of the brain. The amygdala is the spot in the brain I accuse of making us seem to lack humility -- the part of our brain that can cause us to haughtily dismiss information we find
threatening or don't understand.

When our place on the food chain was not so secure, and we had to deal with
predator cats on a regular basis, the amygdala -- a pair of almond-shaped
structures near the base of our temporal lobes -- did great work. Our brain
processed visual images of a shadow moving in the grass, and our amygdala
shouted, "Danger!" In response, we froze. Our more logical information-processing centers kicked in, quickly trying to determine: Is this shadow a crouching tiger or a hidden rabbit? If the shadow was big enough, our logical frontal lobes responded, Close enough to a tiger for me, our amygdala sent a stronger signal of abject fear in return, and we ran.

Millions of years later, Homo sapiens is here -- and we brought our amygdalas with us. Some of us, like kids in the inner city, or soldiers in the battlefield, still need them a lot. These are people who worry on a daily basis about potent threats to their health -- about a lump in a stranger's pocket that might mean he is carrying a handgun; about a mound of
dirt on the side of the road which might cover a bomb.

But for most of us, the amygdala (along with other parts of the brain responsible for mediating emotion and processing conflicting information) is responding to far less grave mysteries but is still sending us messages of anxiety and fear whenever necessary and much of the time besides, including when the boss says something harsh to us at work, a co-worker cuts us a nasty look, or when we hear an idea that conflicts with our worldview.

This has profound implications for all of us, and our conversations about the paranormal. Oftentimes our first reaction, even if it is about an intellectual subject, is an emotional one: We react to the ideas we hear with this primitive part of our brain. And when we feel emotionally
committed to a position, that is precisely the time we're in the greatest danger of reacting -- not from our frontal lobes, like enlightened human beings, but from our amygdalas, like angry or frightened monkeys.

We see this play out in our culture wars, in politics and in our debates over science and religion: Believers sometimes consider those of no or different faith downright unholy. Nonbelievers, of late, take great delight in openly deriding believers as irrational and childlike. And too often the rest of us wind up listening to people letting their amygdalas inspire far too much of the talking.

There is intriguing research that backs this up, including not just brain scan technology but Terror Management Theory. It seems that both religious
and irreligious people see death and threats to their worldviews as of a
piece; in other words, he who threatens my life and he who threatens my way
of looking at the world are, on a psychological level, related. That is a
dangerous way of thinking, but it seems we're built for it -- machines constructed to fight.

As I write in "Fringe-ology," both religion and science have aided our efforts to find some peace. Mystics have come up with some great ways, in meditation and prayer, of taming the more unruly, emotional centers of our brain, including the amygdala. And of course science helps in particularly dramatic fashion. If anxiety is our response to mystery, then discovering the truth and eliminating the mystery not only gives us more information about the world, it helps to soothe us. The problem is that we often lack real answers. At that point, our own psychology can't help but get in the
way. The anxiety we feel at confronting a real mystery encourages us to supplant the unknown with an answer that fits our preexisting worldview. For mystics, that means injecting God or some similar force into all the explanatory gaps; for materialists, it means maintaining faith that some prosaic explanation, far from mysticism, will ultimately emerge.

This dispute is often portrayed as a one-way road -- a hustle from superstitious religious belief to the sweet rationality of science. In this view, science is often typified as a perfect, self-correcting system, which compensates for our faulty wetware by gathering and totaling up evidence.
Mystics, with their reliance on subjective experience, can't make the same claim. I find this standard analysis to be devastatingly accurate -- to a point. My critique is that while we might look over the long haul and see a "perfect," self-correcting system, we aren't looking at today from the perspective of a decade, a generation, or a century from now. This means we might be looking at a completely laughable model of reality and calling it the most likely one -- just because this is the time we live in and this is the best information our science has yielded to date.

Modern neuroscience provides a fantastic example of this: Scientists are examining brain function at the level of the neuron to try and explain how consciousness is produced. Yet no one has figured out how neuronal firing and the interactions of neurochemicals produce thought, your feelings of being you, with your specific set of wishes and wants and fears, who feels a particular sensation upon perceiving the color red or enjoying the flavor of a good steak. Of course, there is a level of activity going on below the
level of the neuron -- a level we can't investigate so well because we don't
yet have the instruments to do the job properly. And so, modern neuroscientists, for all their advancements, could prove to be just like the drunk looking for his misplaced car keys under the lamppost.

Where, we ask the drunk, did you last see your keys?
About three blocks away, he replies, a little man on his hands and knees.
Then, why are you looking here?
Because, he says, this is where the light is.

In short, I'm not critiquing science. I'm calling for more of it. And in "Fringe-ology," I also call for all of us to accept who and what we are -- to accept that, from moment to moment, we perceive and interpret the world according to the best model we've constructed to date.

I think this fact could set us free if we let it. In admitting we don't know the final answers, in admitting we're prone to see the world as we've always seen it, and acting on this understanding, we open a door to conversation -- as opposed to debate -- and the exploration of new ideas, a good faith sifting through of the facts we have. I think, theoretically, most religious people can at least grope their way toward accepting this: in theological
terms, doubt is often seen as a necessary part of real faith. Skeptics might have a harder time, because they usually profess that they deal only in facts. But as I argue and I believe demonstrate in my book, the arch-skeptic is as capable of seeing things according to his or her biases as the believer.

Perhaps, through acknowledging this aspect of ourselves, we can learn to
talk about so-called paranormal issues productively, so that believers and
disbelievers alike gain a better understanding not only of how the world
works but of themselves and each other. The way I see it, we're all land-based mammals on a planet with a greater surface area devoted to things that swim. We are all trapped on this same unforgiving rock, floating through space, with no rulebook for living other than the one we discover and write together. Under such circumstances, are we better off approaching each other in a posture of debate -- or conversation?

I suspect that most of us are reasonable enough to realize that systems of thought, whether religious or scientific, that have survived for centuries and for millennia must necessarily contain truths that are ours for the taking. What gets too little play, at least in our public discourse, is any sort of middle or integrated view in which both political parties have valid points to make, or both rationalists and mystics have something to teach.

Bringing people into this kind of collaborative worldview won't be easy. And the media is one of the obstacles we need to overcome. Journalists often
portray the fight between mysticism and materialism in stark terms -- and
through the lens of some dramatically phrased question, like: Can science
and spirituality coexist?
In turn, I ask the reader to do me a favor. Stand up, please, and go to the window: Are great plumes of black smoke arising from the supposed "war" between religion and science?

I thought not.

So it's past time, I think, to look past the false choice with which we are too often presented -- to embrace paranormal and spiritual claims, or hotly reject them -- and instead simply consider all the possibilities they represent. I ask that we instead enjoy these stories for what they reveal about all of us.

In researching and writing "Fringe-ology," I had ample opportunity to
consider various explanations for colorful tales that both entertained me and pushed me well past my comfort zone.

In one pivotal scene, I describe Ricky Sorrells' account of a UFO sighting
he claimed. The "ship," as he described it, hovered silently for several minutes just 300 feet directly over his head. Its size was so massive he could not see an edge to it, in any direction. Its underside featured a series of inverted cones that projected upward, inside the craft. And when it took off, he said, it remained silent but lit out with a speed unlike
anything he could even imagine.

I didn't believe Sorrells' account. How could I? I have nowhere to put such
images, no frame of reference in which a ship like that could even be possible. But I didn't disbelieve him either. In fact, I found Sorrells as a man to be highly credible. He had nothing to gain from spinning a tall tale and demonstrated a real yearning to know precisely what it was that he did see.

Well, wouldn't we all like to know what he saw -- or if he saw anything at all? But of course, for now, all we can have on the subject are our beliefs.

Undoubtedly, this state of affairs will fire the amygdalas of a great many people who will argue, confidently, that we do know the answer to this question: Sorrells must simply be lying. More charitably, he misperceived some natural, earthly phenomenon as something incredible. Others will argue, just as strenuously, that he must have seen an alien craft from the Zeta Reticuli system. But to me the truth in this instance offers the virtue of both accuracy and opportunity: Because we don't know precisely what Sorrells saw, we are free to imagine the answer.

What TATA did to 26/11 Mumbai victims?

*What TATA did to 26/11 Mumbai victims?*

LET THE WORLD KNOW WHAT IS CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY"?

*THE NEWS WE DO NOT KNOW!*

*The Tata Gesture *

1. All category of employees including those who had completed even 1 day as
casuals were treated on duty during the time the hotel was closed.

2. Relief and assistance to all those who were injured and killed.

3. The relief and assistance was extended to all those who died at the railway station, surroundings including the "Pav- Bha ji" vendor and the pan shop owners.

4. During the time the hotel was closed, the salaries were sent by money order.

5. A psychiatric cell was established in collaboration with Tata Institute of Social Sciences to counsel those who needed such help.

6. The thoughts and anxieties going on people's mind was constantly tracked
and where needed psychological help provided.

7. Employee outreach centers were opened where all help, food, water,
sanitation, first aid and counseling was provided. 1600 employees were covered by this facility.

8. Every employee was assigned to one mentor and it was that person's
responsibility to act as a "single window" clearance for any help that the person required.

9. Ratan Tata personally visited the families of all the 80 employees who in
some manner – either through injury or getting killed – were affected.

10. The dependents of the employees were flown from outside Mumbai to Mumbai and taken care off in terms of ensuring mental assurance and peace. They were all accommodated in Hotel President for 3 weeks.

11. Ratan Tata himself asked the families and dependents – as to what they
wanted him to do.

12. In a record time of 20 days, a new trust was created by the Tatas for the purpose of relief of employees.

13. What is unique is that even the other people, the railway employees, the police staff, the pedestrians who had nothing to do with Tatas were covered by compensation. Each one of them was provided subsistence allowance of Rs.
10K per month for all these people for 6 months.

14. A 4 year old granddaughter of a vendor got 4 bullets in her and only one
was removed in the Government hospital. She was taken to Bombay hospital and
several lacs were spent by the Tatas on her to fully recover her.

15. New hand carts were provided to several vendors who lost their carts.

16. Tata will take responsibility of life education of 46 children of the victims of the terror.

17. This was the most trying period in the life of the organisation. Senior managers including Ratan Tata were visiting funeral to funeral over the 3 days that were most horrible.

18. The settlement for every deceased member ranged from Rs. 36 to 85 lacs
[One lakh rupees tranlates to approx 2200 US $ ] in addition to the
following benefits:

a. Full last salary for life for the family and dependents;

b. Complete responsibility of education of children and dependents – anywhere in the world.

c. Full Medical facility for the whole family and dependents for rest of their life.

d. All loans and advances were waived off – irrespective of the amount.

e. Counselor for life for each person

B. Epilogue

How was such passion created among the employees? How and why did they behave the way they did?

The organisation is clear that it is not something that someone can take
credit for. It is not some training and development that created such
behaviour. If someone suggests that – everyone laughs.

It has to do with the DNA of the organisation, with the way Tata culture
exists and above all with the situation that prevailed that time. The
organization has always been telling that customers and guests are #1 priority

The hotel business was started by Jamshedji Tata when he was insulted in one of the British hotels and not allowed to stay there.

He created several institutions which later became icons of progress, culture and modernity. IISc is one such institute. He was told by the rulers that time that he can acquire land for IISc to the extent he could fence the same. He could afford fencing only 400 acres.

When the HR function hesitatingly made a very rich proposal to Ratan – he said – do you think we are doing enough?

The whole approach was that the organisation would spend several hundred crore in re-building the property – why not spend equally on the employees
who gave their life?

How a Secret Word Changed My Life

*How a Secret Word Changed My Life*

*By Chris Cains, Creator of the Miracle Mind Method*

What I'm about to share with you took me YEARS to figure out. Several
agonizing, grueling years that I'll never get back! What I discovered has
changed my life (and hundreds of others' lives) around.

Here's my story: Just 3 years ago, I owed over 50k in debt after my business
venture failed. I was in a very dark place. I was absolute miserable. I had no money, no friends to turn to for support. I'm not kidding when I say suicidal thoughts were crossing my mind.

Fast forward to today, I made over 500k in the last 2 years but I don't even
have a job (and it all began with a seed I planted in my mind!)

So, how did I finally do it?

My formula is simple, I call it the *Miracle Mind Method*.

First, I tapped into the power of my subconscious for an idea to make money.

Let me explain. You see, I struggled for years trying to make money in my
business. Nothing seemed to work but I was working 12, sometimes 14 hours a
day! I wasn't looking to get rich quick… I was willing to work and do
whatever it took.

Yet I failed miserably.

Why? Because I did not have the right idea!

So I gave my subconscious mind a crystal clear target to hit by constantly
repeating a "secret word" out loud and silently to myself.

This is the absolute truth: I cannot account for any other thing that I may
have done to change what I thought except for one thing: I constantly
repeated the "secret word" day and night, silently and out loud for several
days.

On or about the 3rd day after repeating the "secret word" non-stop, I had an
idea that catapulted my business from doing $1,000 a month or less to
$10,000 the first month I put the idea into action!

Since then I have never made less them $10,000 a month in my business and I
have had many months in which I've made $40,000, $50,000 even $70,000 – in
one month!

Now even though this course is not about making money, I cannot attribute
the change that occurred INSIDE ME to anything else except the constant
repetition of the "secret word"

I had plenty of desire to succeed before I started using this technique, and
I had more than enough motivation – I was heavily in debt and had a family
to care for!

I didn't change my diet... I didn't do anything different for those 3 days
than I normally did.

But what I did not have was any idea how I was going to make more money...
… until I used the "secret word".

Now, if you're skeptical let me say this:

I think that the key to why this worked was because it focused my mind on
what I wanted so intensely that it forced me to come up with an innovative
idea. It really worked like nothing else I have ever tried.

And even if you don't believe my explanation why it worked, it will still
work for you! That's the great thing – you don't even have to believe it will work!

Why? Because it's just like turning on the engine in a car – you don't need to see or understand the miracle of automotive engineering or know how it works in order to drive it! You just put the key in, turn it and start moving!

It's the same thing with the Miracle Mind Method - there's a lot under the hood going on but you don't need to know how it works to take it for a test drive and experience the benefits and results!

It has made a tremendous difference in my life, and I hope it does the same
for you.

Are you ready to make a change in your life?

Are you ready to get that right idea?

The Law of Compensation

The Law of Compensation
By: Brian Tracy

You Get What You Give
Ralph Waldo Emerson, in his essay, "Compensation," wrote that each
person is compensated in like manner for that which he or she has contributed. The Law of Compensation is another restatement of the Law of Sowing and Reaping. It says that you will always be compensated for your efforts and for your contribution, whatever it is, however much or however little.

Increase Your Value
This Law of Compensation also says that you can never be compensated in the long term for more than you put in. The income you earn today is your compensation for what you have done in the past. If you want to increase your compensation, you must increase the value of your contribution.

Fill Your Mind With Success
Your mental attitude, your feelings of happiness and satisfaction, are also the result of the things that you have put into your own mind. If you fill your own mind with thoughts, visions and ideas of success, happiness and optimism, you will be compensated by those positive
experiences in your daily activities.

Do More Than You're Paid For
Another corollary of the Law of Sowing and Reaping is what is sometimes
called the, "Law of Overcompensation." This law says that great success comes from those who always make it a habit to put in more than they take out. They do more than they are paid for. They are always looking for opportunities to exceed expectations. And because they are always overcompensating, they are always being over rewarded with the esteem of their employers and customers and with the financial rewards that go
along with their personal success.

Provide the Causes, Enjoy The Effects
One of your main responsibilities in life is to align yourself and your activities with Law of Cause and Effect (and its corollaries), accepting that it is an inexorable law that always works, whether anyone is looking or not. Your job is to institute the causes that are consistent with the effects that you want to enjoy in your life. When you do, you
will realize and enjoy the rewards you desire.

Action Exercises
Here are two things you can do immediately to put these ideas into
action.

First, remind yourself regularly that your rewards will always be in direct proportion to your service to others. How could you increase the value of your services to your customers today?

Second, look for ways to go the extra mile, to use the Law of Overcompensation in everything you do. This is the great secret of success.

Advice from Warren Buffett...World's 2nd Richest Man

How to Use the Simple Magic of Mantrams to Command your Superconscious Mind

How to Use the Simple Magic of Mantrams to Command your Superconscious Mind

By Peter Kelder
Author of Ancient Secrets of the Fountain of Youth

"There is a slight difference between the words mantra and mantram. Both are taken from a Sanskrit word meaning instrument of thought. The difference is this: a mantram is a vocalized instrument of thought, while a mantra is silent."

Whether you realize it or not, you create and shape your life with your thoughts. All things that become part of your physical reality are first created in the mind from the raw material called thought. Because it is an instrument of thought, a mantram is a tool which you can use to help shape your life as you wish it to be.

Now, in order to use mantrams to your advantage, you need to first understand the mind and how it works. Nowadays, the term subconscious mind is one that's frequently heard but seldom understood. Instead of subconsciousness, the lamas use a word that could be translated as superconsciousness -- consciousness of a higher order. The job of the superconscious mind is to take thought, which is pure energy, and give it physical shape in the material world.

Whole books could be written on the subject, but just now the important thing for you to remember is this: your superconscious mind is a willing and eager servant whom you command by way of your thought patterns.

When you think a thought, you issue a command. Your servant obeys by manifesting the thought in the physical world where it becomes the things and events in your life. Thus, physical reality is a mirror of your thought patterns. Change your thought patterns, and you change the reflection in the mirror. In other words, you change your life.

This concept, as simple as it is, is a stumbling block for many people. They point to some unhappy or even tragic event in their lives and refuse to believe that they could have created it with their own thoughts.

But if you examine your thoughts closely, you're likely to discover negative patterns competing with positive ones. In one breath you'll say, "I want to achieve happiness." But in the next breath you'll give yourself a thousand and one reasons to be unhappy: your job is stressful; the weather is unpleasant; bills are piling up; you're overweight; the neighbors are noisy; you are late for an appointment; and on and on. So while your stated goal is happiness, your thoughts are working overtime to create just the opposite.

A mantram is something you can use to unify your thought patterns and bring them into alignment with your highest and best desires. To start using this powerful tool, you must first clearly identify the rewards which life is to deliver to your doorstep.

A Very Simple Exercise to Unify Your Mind

There's a very simple mental exercise that can help you accomplish this. It takes only a few minutes, so I suggest that you repeat it every month of so. Sit down and make a written list of the things you desire most. Don't reason as to what you ought to want. Instead, jot down your desires quickly, including everything that comes to mind.

Now examine your list carefully and ask yourself what rewards each of your stated desires must bring you. The rewards are what you're really after, so write them down also. For example, if you wrote, "I desire a better job," what you really want are the rewards of a better job. Maybe you want the fulfillment that comes from putting to good use special talents and training you have. Perhaps you want a bigger paycheck and the feeling of security that comes with that. Or maybe you want the pleasure of working in a friendly, relaxed environment.

The rewards you want should always be expressed in terms of feelings. Feelings, both bitter and sweet, are the fruits of your lifetime experience. They are the prize. When you depart this world, you leave behind your material treasures. But your feelings remain with you always. So choose with care those which you wish to have as lasting companions.

Now review your list of desires and the rewards you wish to achieve. Read it top to bottom, and as you do, search for just two or three words or phrases to summarize everything. This may seem impossible at first. But once you look closely, you'll see groups of seemingly different desires and rewards all aimed to a common goal. Separate your desires into two or three such groups and find a word or phrase to capsulize each one. To use a simple example, if you desire a better house, an expensive automobile, and a new wardrobe, the fundamental goal behind all three is abundance or prosperity.

Create a Short, Simple Command For Your Superconscious

By now you should have a clear picture of your fundamental goals, so put them all together and state them in a brief command. Make the command positive, short, and to the point. For example, "I demand happiness, power, and prosperity right now." And there you have it. When your command is spoken aloud, it becomes a mantram, or plainly stated, a device you can use to stimulate your superconscious mind into action."

The word power is a good one, because it will help bring about health, strength, and vitality in your physical body. And on a mental level, it will empower you to become master of your own destiny. "Right now" at the end of your command tells your superconscious mind when you want things to happen: NOW. It tells your superconscious mind to get busy immediately manifesting your desires

How to Use Your Mantram

Now that you have a mantram, putting it to use is as simple as can be. All you need to do is speak it aloud with conviction. Don't be timid. Feel the power of your voice and speak as if you are commanding a magic genie who will bring you whatever you desire. Once you have spoken your mantram aloud with unwavering conviction and resolve, you've done all that's needed.

Speak your mantram just before going to sleep at night and upon waking in the morning. Then form the habit of repeating it at regular intervals throughout the day. If you find yourself in front of a mirror, gaze directly into the reflection of your own eyes and repeat your mantram with firm confidence.

Then, as you go about your daily life, pay close attention to all the things you think and say. Be alert for negative thoughts or words that will send conflicting commands to your superconscious mind. They will undo the positive force of your mantram, so when you detect them, stop, take a deep breath, and cancel the negative thoughts or words by speaking your mantram with steadfast resolve.

Of course, if you are in the presence of other people, you can't all of a sudden blurt out, "I desire happiness, power, and prosperity right now!" In such a case, I would suggest that you use a mantra. All that's needed is to repeat your mantra inwardly and contemplate the meaning of the words. Since it isn't reinforced by the power of the voice, a mantra isn't quite as effective as a spoken Mantram, but it will get splendid results nevertheless.

Focus on the End Result

Whether you're using a mantram or a mantra, an important thing to remember is this: when you command the superconscious mind, you must focus only on the end result which you desire. Never try to dictate how superconsciousness will accomplish its miracles.

The superconscious mind is far more clever and resourceful than you can possibly imagine. If it is headed off in one direction, it is not discouraged and does not give up, for it knows that there are ten thousand other ways to achieve a desired goal. If, through your own thoughts and preconceptions, you try to tell the superconscious mind how to do its work, you will only limit its options and restrict the magic which can unfold.

The superconscious realm of your mind is a magnificent thing. It takes great delight in working to accomplish literally anything you desire. Desire is a very strong force, and when you use it to stimulate the superconscious mind into action, it will be thrilled to bring you your heart's desire in ways you never dreamed possible.

Another thing you should know is this: the superconscious realm of the mind does not judge your thoughts before it responds to them. It does not differentiate between pain or pleasure, sorrow or happiness, grief or joy. A better way to state it is, no feelings or emotions are pleasant or unpleasant to the superconscious mind. Its job is to transform thought patterns into matter -- all thought patterns. And it couldn't possibly do the job it is meant to do if it were to first judge your thoughts good or bad, happy or unhappy, worthy or unworthy.

In short, the wonderfully simple secret which can help everybody achieve whatever they desire is this: change your thought patterns, and you change your life. If you think thrilling thoughts, the superconscious mind will flood your life with thrilling things, instead of the miserable things in life.

"I'm Thinking... But I'm Not Growing Rich!"

*"I'm Thinking... But I'm Not Growing Rich!"*

*By Bob Doyle, creator of Wealth Beyond Reason<http://www.wealthbeyondreason.com/go/?p=mpower&w=wbr>*

So you've read "Think and Grow Rich", and you've got an intellectual understanding that you "become what you think about". You have a list of affirmations about wealth, and you recite them every day.

But you still have no money. Wealth doesn't seem to be anywhere around.

What's the deal here? According to Napoleon Hill, you ought to be filthy
stinkin' rich, right?

Well, here's the real deal: If you're not "Wealth Conscious", than all this
thinking, and all this affirming isn't going to bring you wealth. Thinking, and affirming are simply actions you're taking. But they are just PART of the sequence of creating wealth. If you skip the FIRST step, you simply can't get anywhere.

*So what's the first step?*

Being.

To attract wealth, you first have to BE wealthy. THEN, you think wealthy
thoughts, speak wealthy affirmations, and take wealthy action.

"But how can I BE wealthy if I'm NOT wealthy?" you ask. Logical question,
but it's based on the false assumption that you don't have wealth. You HAVE
wealth. You're simply not aware of it. You have constructed a physical reality that prevents you from experiencing Wealth. This can all be explained with the science of Quantum Physics.

So let's look at some very basic concepts of Quantum Physics that will explain what I'm talking about.

*Everything Is Energy*

First, you probably are aware - at least on an intellectual level - that at
a subatomic level, we, and everything else in the Universe, is Energy. When
you break everything down, we're all made of the same stuff, and we're all
connected. The Universe is just this huge ocean of Energy, vibrating at
various frequencies which gives the illusion of individuation. That is, we
experience the illusion of separateness from each other, physical objects,
and wealth because our "senses" are decoding the Energy around us in such a
way as to create our physical reality.

This all happens in our thoughts.

So, to simplify things quickly here for the sake of time (another illusion),
"things" only exist because we observe them. It is in our observing that
things come into existence. Without our observing, things are simply "waves"
- probabilities of existence. Physicists agree on this.

Our beliefs are a very powerful Energy system in our lives. Our beliefs
allow or disallow certain experiences in our lives, including wealth. They
make up who we are. We "BE" in the world according to our beliefs. If we are
being is "someone who is trying to get wealthy by repeating affirmations",
then THAT is what our reality will be. We will just be TRYING to get
wealthy.

We have to make the decision that we ARE wealthy, contrary to any external
physical evidence. That evidence is an illusion based on the belief systems
that have guided who we have been being up to that point.

A truly wealthy person isn't wealthy because they have money. They have
money, because they are wealthy! That's the distinction that most people
have backward!

*Wealth Is A Decision*

Here's an example to illustrate what I mean:

Tony Robbins became a millionaire at a very young age. Then, due to a series
of poor judgments, he lost it. But within a year, he had it back. How did he
do this? HE NEVER LOST HIS WEALTH. He only lost his money, which is just a
symbol of wealth! Because he is "Wealth Conscious", he literally
"magnetically attracts" wealth into his life. He truly can't help it! It's
who he is! And there are thousand out there like him, who attract wealth
simply because it's who they are. You can make the same decision and have
the same results.

Conversely, a person who has grown up with "lack consciousness" can win
millions in the lottery and lose it within a year. Their consciousness -
their ENERGY - simply can't maintain the attraction to Wealth because they
aren't "wealthy" in who they are being.

But again, Wealth is a decision. If you aren't currently experiencing
wealth, you first need to realize that abundance is everywhere...in fact
it's all there is. Poverty and lack are the illusions. You can shift your
consciousness to Wealth - BE Wealth - by simply making the decision, THEN
your thoughts, speech, and action will allow you to experience the wealth
that is yours!

This is indeed a complex subject which challenges our core belief systems.
But it is those very belief systems that keep a person in a state of lack.

Look at your financial situation today. Look at your core beliefs about
Wealth and You, and see if your life isn't a PERFECT reflection of your
beliefs. Then, look where those beliefs may have originated. When you can
awaken to yourself that your beliefs create your reality, rather than the
other way around, you have the option to truly be free to experience a
reality of prosperity that you deserve!

Telepathy Is Real

*Telepathy Is Real*

*By Robert M. Schoch, Ph.D. / Source: **New Dawn Magazine<http://www.newda
wnmagazine.com/articles/paranormal-parapsychology-ufos-new-science/thoughts-have-wings>*

Telepathy is real. Thoughts have wings. Of this I am certain. It is a shame that telepathy, direct mind-to-mind interaction independent of the known
senses (vision, hearing, smell, taste, touch, balance, and so on), is still shunned and mocked by many people.

This despite the extensive studies of telepathy, precognition, and similar mental phenomena, carried out for more than a century by some of the best minds, including Ph.D. scientists and Nobel laureates.
The basic phenomena of telepathy have been demonstrated over and over again, and even put to practical use. A vast scientific literature on parapsychology (which encompasses the study of telepathy) exists, with specialised journals and societies.
There is strong laboratory evidence for telepathy, from classic card-calling
studies to controlled experiments where an agent inserts material telepathically into a subject's dreams, through more sophisticated tests for telepathic information transfer in the fully conscious state or at the threshold of consciousness between sleep and waking (hypnagogia).

A large and compelling body of evidence from spontaneous cases supports the
reality of telepathy, such as crisis events when a person has telepathic awareness, or even "sees" an apparition, of a loved one experiencing emotional turmoil, pain, suffering, or death.

Telepathy and related parapsychological phenomena have been successfully
applied to *intelligence gathering*. Jimmy Carter, 39th President of the United States (1977-1981), testified to their efficacy.

*The proven results of these exchanges between our intelligence services and
parapsychologists raise some of the most intriguing and unanswerable questions of my presidency… They defy logic, but the facts are undeniable.*

Recently Dr. Daryl J. Bem of Cornell University released the results of nine
experiments, involving over a thousand participants, documenting consistently significant positive results for precognition and retroactive influences, important components of parapsychology.

Despite the overwhelming evidence for telepathy and related phenomena, many
scientists do not consider parapsychology a science and, knowing nothing about the subject, feel free to make disparaging statements concerning the field and its practitioners.

*At this point I believe it is time to move beyond assuaging the debunkers and scoffers, for no amount of evidence will ever convince some that telepathy is genuine. Let us concentrate on studying the phenomena and unravelling the secrets of telepathy. Thoughts may have wings, but how far can they fly?*

Telepathy is often considered independent of distance; that is, thoughts are free to fly as far as they desire. But, is this really the case? There are well-attested instances of telepathy occurring over thousands of kilometres, but to conclude that all telepathy is literally independent of distance is premature. It is extremely difficult to measure the strength of a telepathic signal apart from the delivery of the message (in analogy, an audible message may be received across a room whether yelled or whispered).

A few controlled studies indicate that at least sometimes telepathy may attenuate with distance. Attenuation might be expected unless perhaps telepathy is a nonlocal quantum mechanical phenomenon. Possibly there are multiple forms of telepathy: information carried on extremely low frequency electromagnetic waves, information transferred by quantum mechanical means, and information propagated via some other mechanism.

We must also consider the psychological aspects of telepathy. A person may preferentially focus telepathically on the thoughts and emotions of someone who is psychologically "near," even if far removed in physical space.

There is another, most curious, aspect of telepathy. Telepathic-type phenomena are not limited to the present, but transcend the boundaries of time. Telepathic information can be received from the future and the past, with the proviso that telepathic experiences drop off dramatically as one moves temporally further away from the present.

Various forms of precognition, such as those confirmed by Dr. Bem, can be
explained in terms of telepathic information received from the future, the
future agent in some cases being the same person as the receiver (the
percipient) in the present. You can receive telepathic information from
your future self! Perhaps this sounds strange, but it may just be the way the world is. Indeed, if you think about it, who is closer emotionally and psychologically to you than yourself? **

Experiments Prove You Can Project Your Mind

Experiments Prove You Can Project Your Mind
Silva MethodBy Jose Silva, Creator of The Silva Method

What is ESP? The original definition meant "extra sensory perception," but
scientific research has proven that definition to be inaccurate.

Subjective communication is not an extra sense; it is a prior sense, something everyone has but not everyone develops and uses consciously. Subjective communication takes place during alpha brain wave activity. During alpha dream time, many people have "pre cognitive" dreams – they dream of something, and then it happens shortly afterwards.

Since your brain dips into alpha for very brief periods just microseconds approximately thirty times every minute, it is possible to have flashes of insight, intuition, creative thought, perception, awareness, while in a waking state.
When you stop and think about it, there is a very good chance that you have had moments when subjective communication was working for you even though you had no training at all to develop this faculty.
So we have retained the familiar initials – ESP – and changed the meaning to Effective Sensory Projection. In the Silva mind training system, we begin to develop the ability to use these subjective senses effectively, and in addition to perceiving information, we also project those senses to seek our information to aid us in correcting problems.

Information is available to us if we project to it and obtain it. This page
existed before you became aware of it and projected your sense of eyesight to it to obtain the information it contains. Similarly, you can project your mind – which is the master sense of human intelligence to become aware of information if you desire to do so. Once you have projected your mind to the information, then you need to express this information in a form that is familiar to biological intelligence so that you can use it in the physical world. You may express this information as images (imagination/visualization) or as words or as feelings, or even as taste and smell.
When you create an image to express what you are sensing, this image aids you in focusing your mind on the subject so you can sense even more information, and sense it more accurately.

The more you practice projecting your mind to gather information, the more
accurate you become. However, it is best to practice projecting to real problem areas and correcting those problems. When there are real problems to correct, you will be more accurate. If you are just playing and there is no real purpose, eventually you will probably lose what ability you have.

What do we project?

Some people ask just how the projection takes place. Are we projecting ourselves by projecting some kind of "astral body"?

Our research indicates this is not the case. You can project your sense of eyesight across the room to perceive something. So, too, you can project your mind wherever you need to so you can perceive information to help you correct problems. You can also create things with your mind, things that can be perceived by other people when they are at the correct level.
We demonstrated this in an experiment with two young research subjects. We had one subject enter the alpha level and create something with his mind. When he had done this, we had another subject, in another location, enter his level and project to the first subject and tell us what the first subject was doing.

The second subject described accurately a little toy truck – "green with red wheels" – that the first subject had created with his mind.
In other words, the first subject created something in the subjective dimension that could be sensed by another subject who was functioning in the same dimension.
We believe that subjects who think they are projecting their astral body to a distant location may actually be having a very vivid mental projection, creating with their imagination an image of their body that can be perceived by others who are functioning at the same mental level. We think that this is where so-called "evil spirits" come from too. People who believe in evil spirits, especially when they energize their beliefs with fear, mentally create thought forms that can be detected by other people, when those people enter the "evil spirits" dimension.

Can those "evil spirits" harm you? There is no more chance that those "evil spirit" thoughts can harm you, than there is of being run over by the little toy truck that my young research subject created with his mind. The only "evil" is that which is produced by the fear of those people who believe in such things.
We know that we can prove that mental projection is possible, although at this time astral projection can not be proven or disproven.
Previously, you may have used your imagination/visualization faculty only for "making up" things with the left brain hemisphere.
Once you have completed the UltraMind ESP System, your imagination/visualization faculty can be a real means of communication – a spiritual means of communication with your right brain hemisphere. And imagination at the subjective dimension is the first step in creation.

This is a powerful combination of skills you have for helping to correct problems no matter where they are, and thereby helping to convert our world into a paradise. Through practice, you can develop great skill at doing this. Using your ability to project to any place and any dimension, and to correct problems and create what you desire, you can create a paradise in the portion of the world that you inhabit.
